Abstract :
Density functional theory and pseudopotentials were used to study reaction of the grain interfaces in the TiAl3, TiAl, and Ti3Al compounds on tensile defor-mations. It was shown that durability of the interfaces increases with increasing of partial amount of titanium while plasticity increases initially (from pure Al to Ti-Al3) but then decreases.
