Abstract :
In the recent years, one of the most commercially wanted after energy storages are Lithium ion batteries. Nanocrystalline Lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2), Using the sol-gel method using an aqueous solution of metal nitrates, the most promising cathode materials for lithium ion secondary batteries was synthesized. The chelating agents like oxalic acid and tartaric acid were assisted to get different size and morphology of particle. The optimized size may be achieved through sol-gel processing. The XRD, SEM, UV and FTIR characteristics were studied.
